Huge IPO Targets: 10 Startups to Raise Rs. 18,000 Crore

At least 10 startups will raise funds worth Rs 18,000 crore through IPOs. The listings are aimed at providing an exit for venture capital funds and meeting strong investor demand for digital-first firms amid improving market sentiment.

The startup ecosystem is gearing up for a major round of market activity, with at least 10 new generation companies collectively looking to raise around Rs 18,000 crore in fresh capital through initial public offerings. Including offer-for-sale components, the total size of these IPOs is expected to be significantly higher, paving the way for venture capital exits.

1. Paytm: The digital payments giant is expected to raise over Rs. 4,000 crore through its IPO, making it one of the biggest IPOs in Indian history.

2. Zomato: The online food delivery platform is planning to raise around Rs. 3,750 crore through its IPO, which is set to be one of the largest ever in the food tech sector.

3. Nykaa: The beauty and skincare e-commerce platform is looking to raise Rs. 5,250 crore through its IPO, making it one of the biggest IPOs in the e-commerce space.

4. Delhivery: The logistics and supply chain company is aiming to raise around Rs. 3,300 crore through its IPO, which is set to be one of the largest in the logistics sector.

5. Policybazaar: The online insurance aggregator is planning to raise Rs. 6,000 crore through its IPO, which is expected to be one of the largest in the insurance sector.

6. PhonePe: The digital payments platform is looking to raise around Rs. 2,000 crore through its IPO, making it one of the biggest in the fintech sector.

7. Freshworks: The cloud-based software company is aiming to raise Rs. 4,000 crore through its IPO, which is set to be one of the largest in the SaaS sector.

8. CarTrade: The online car marketplace is planning to raise around Rs. 2,000 crore through its IPO, which will be one of the biggest in the automotive tech sector.

9. Pine Labs: The digital payments and POS solutions provider is looking to raise Rs. 2,000 crore through its IPO, making it one of the biggest in the fintech space.

10. Flipkart: The e-commerce giant is aiming to raise around Rs. 3,750 crore through its IPO, which is expected to be one of the largest in the e-commerce

According to data from Venture Intelligence, in 2024, these investors had raised $4.06 billion from IPO-related exits through November, up from $2.06 billion in 2023 and $1.5 billion in 2022.

Securities since the end of last year startups that have filed draft red herring prospectuses with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) include Meesho, Pine Labs, Grove, Physics wallah, Urban Company, Wakefit, CureFoods, Shiprocket, Shadowfox and Indicube.
